Terms of Service

Last updated 13 September 2026

These terms cover using AnyPlans, whether you are booking a seat or hosting the room. They are written to be read, so they are short and in plain English.

What AnyPlans is

AnyPlans lists small local events and lets you book a seat at one. We are the platform in the middle. We do not run the events. Each event belongs to the host who created it, and your booking is an agreement between you and that host.

AnyPlans is in beta. Things will change, occasionally break, and improve. We do not promise the service will always be available.

Your account

One account per email address, and you must be 18 or over to use AnyPlans, since many events serve alcohol or carry their own age limits. There are no passwords: anyone who can read your email, or who is signed into your Google account, can sign in as you, so look after both. Tell us at hello@anyplans.xyz if you think someone else has got in.

If you are booking

  • A seat is yours once the booking is confirmed. Seats are limited and honest: when a session shows three left, there are three.
  • During beta, bookings are free. When paid tickets arrive, the price you see when you book is the price you pay, even if the host changes it later.
  • Turn up, or tell your host. Cancellations, refunds, latecomers, and what happens if an event is called off are the host's policy, not ours. Ask them.
  • Treat the host, their space, and the other guests well. That is the whole rule.

If you are hosting

  • Your event is yours. You are responsible for running it safely and lawfully: the venue, the licences, insurance, age limits, accessibility, and anything your local rules require.
  • Describe it accurately. The title, price, times, and seat counts people see should be the event they get.
  • Honour your bookings, or tell your guests promptly if you cannot. If you cancel a session, contact everyone booked into it.
  • Your guest list stays yours. Use it to run your events, keep it safe, and do not sell it or spam it. If you leave AnyPlans, you take it with you.
  • You keep the rights to your own words and pictures. By publishing an event you let us show it on AnyPlans and link to it.

Money

Every event is free to list and free to book during beta, and we take nothing. When paid tickets launch, tickets will be paid directly into the host's own Stripe account, AnyPlans will never hold the money, and our fee will be published before it applies. Free events stay free forever.

What is not allowed

Do not use AnyPlans to break the law, to list events you have no right to run, to mislead people about what they are booking, to harass anyone, or to scrape or attack the service. We can suspend or remove an account or an event that does.

Where our responsibility ends

AnyPlans is provided as it is. Because we do not run the events, we are not responsible for what happens at one, for a host cancelling, or for a guest not showing up. We are responsible for running the platform honestly and for keeping your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Ending it

You can stop using AnyPlans whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we will give hosts notice and time to export their guest lists.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when we last did, and we will tell you by email about anything significant.

Plain summary. We list the events, hosts run them. Your booking is with your host, so their cancellation policy is the one that counts. Hosts own their guest lists and are responsible for their own rooms. Free during beta, and free events stay free.
