AnyPlans is a booking platform for small local events. This page says exactly what we collect, why we hold it, and who else touches it. It describes the product as it actually works today, not as we might build it later.
Who we are
AnyPlans is operated from London by the team behind anyplans.xyz, and we are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us any time at hello@anyplans.xyz.
What we collect
Only what the product needs to work:
- Your email address. It is your account. We have no passwords, so we email you a six digit code to sign you in.
- Your name, and a photo if you have one. Hosts see your name on their guest list. If you sign in with Google we take the name and profile picture Google gives us, so you do not have to type them.
- Your city and interests. These order your feed. If you use the location button, your browser gives us approximate coordinates once, we turn them into a city name, and we keep only the city.
- Your bookings. Which session, which ticket type, how many seats, and the price at the time you booked.
- What you host, if you host. Your events, their sessions and ticket types, and any calendars you create.
We do not ask for your address, your phone number, or your date of birth, and we do not buy information about you from anyone else.
No tracking, no cookie banner
AnyPlans runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third party trackers. We set no tracking cookies, which is why this site never asks you to accept any. Your sign in session and a draft of your onboarding answers are kept in your browser storage so you stay signed in and do not lose your place. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For your account, your bookings, and the events you host, we rely on performing our contract with you. You asked us to book you a seat, so we keep the record of that seat. For keeping the service secure and working, we rely on our legitimate interests. Where the law requires consent, such as reading your device location, we ask first and you can say no: the city search works just as well.
Who else sees it
- Hosts you book with. A host sees the name, and the booking details, of people coming to their own event. Nothing else, and never anyone else's guests.
- Supabase stores the database and runs sign in. Your data sits in their Frankfurt region, inside the EU.
- Brevo sends your sign in codes. They receive your email address in order to deliver the message.
- Vercel hosts the website and serves it worldwide.
- Google, only if you choose Google sign in, and only to confirm who you are.
That is the entire list. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not market to a host's guests. If a host leaves AnyPlans, they take their own guest list with them.
How long we keep it
Your profile stays until you ask us to delete it. Bookings and events are kept while your account is open, because both you and your host may need the history. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your profile, your bookings, and anything you hosted, except where we are required to keep a record.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to send it to you in a portable form, or object to how we use it. Email hello@anyplans.xyz and we will answer within one month. If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Payments
AnyPlans is in beta and takes no payments today. Every booking is free while we build. When paid tickets arrive, money will go directly to the host through Stripe, we will never see or store your card details, and we will update this page before that happens.
Changes
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will tell you by email.
